Entertainment Brands

Three diverse offerings comprise our Entertainment Brands. The crown jewel of these is the world-famous Grand Ole Opry – the show that made country music famous.

The Grand Ole Opry

A uniquely American entertainment experience for nearly 90 years, the Opry showcases a mix of famous and soon-to-be-famous country music artists live each week from its home in Nashville, Tennessee. The show attracts hundreds of thousands of fans each year to experience the show live, and millions more tune in via television partners Great American Country (GAC) and CMT Canada, plus XM Satellite Radio, Nashville’s 650- AM WSM, and opry.com. The Opry’s syndicated radio show can be heard on more than 200 radio stations across the United States and on the Armed Forces Radio Network.

Ryman Auditorium

A National Historic Landmark, the Ryman Auditorium was built as a tabernacle by Captain Thomas G. Ryman in 1892, served as the home of the Grand Ole Opry from 1943-74, and was completely renovated in 1994. Located in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, the the Ryman is one of the most acoustically perfect performance venues in the world. The Ryman is open for tours during the day and at night offers a wide variety of entertainment performances.
The Ryman is currently reigning Pollstar Theatre of the Year, a title it has held four times in the past decade.

WSM debuted on Oct. 5, 1925, and less than two months later, the show would birth its most famous show (and the show that would make country music famous), the Grand Ole Opry. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, the 50,000-watt, low-frequency station can be heard in more than 38 states. The sounds of 650-AM WSM can also be heard around the world via wsmonline.com.
